The standard prune plum variety developed in 1920 at Geneva, New York. Medium to large, oval, dark blue fruit with heavy bloom. Flesh greenish-yellow, freestone. Very sweet, high sugar content, semi-firm texture. Ideal for drying into prunes, canning, and fresh eating. Excellent shelf life. Tree self-fertile, very cold hardy. Blooms later than most, less susceptible to late frost. Heavy annual producer. Requires 700-800 chill hours. Zones 5-8. Height 15-20 ft.
