Cornell University / USDA-ARS, USA, 2005
Developed by the Cornell-Geneva program, Geneva 41 (G.41) is a highly popular fully dwarfing rootstock, producing a tree about 35% to 40% the size of a standard seedling. Due to its dwarf stature and brittle graft union in its early years, growth practices mandate strong, permanent trellis support and regular irrigation. G.41 is highly precocious and exceptionally productive. Its standout strength is its excellent pest and disease resistance: it is highly resistant to fire blight, Phytophthora root rot, and woolly apple aphids, while offering exceptional tolerance to Apple Replant Disease
